Sachin Pilot urges workers to maintain calm: Says, 'will accept' High Command decision

New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) Amid tense moments in the Congress camp over the issue of making choice of the new Chief Minister in Rajasthan, a key aspirant for the top job Sachin Pilot on Thursday urged his supporters to maintain 'calm' and said any decision by the high command will be "acceptable" to him.

In a series of tweets, Mr Pilot, who single handedly steered the state unit of the party for last three years, urged the media not to spread rumours.

"Ala kaman duara diye gaye faisley ka hum swagat karenge (Any decision by the high command will be acceptable)," Mr Pilot wrote in the microblogging site.

"I urge all party workers to maintain discipline and calm. I have full faith in the party leadership. Whatever decision taken by Rahul Gandhiji and Sonia Gandhiji will be welcomed. The onus is on us to maintain the dignity of the party," he said.

He appealed to the media to stay away from spreading rumours and highlight only the "facts".

"This is the time the media should support us in checking the spread of rumours.....," he said.

This statement from Mr Pilot, who is a also former Union Minister, comes even as imbroglio persists

on the choice of Chief Minister for Rajasthan - where Congress returned to power by defeating BJP.
