Missing north Kashmir student traced in Mumbai; safe with his family, say police
Srinagar, Dec 12: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said that a north Kashmir student, who was reported missing since December 8 from his colleges in Delhi NCR, has been traced in Mumbai.
“The boy is safe and sound with his family members now,” a police official said.
A 19-year-old Kashmiri student, Asim Dar, went missing from G L Bajaj Institute premises in Greater Noida on last Saturday.
The matter was reported at Kasna Police Station by his father, who reached Greater Noida on Tuesday after multiple calls to Asim went unanswered since December 8.
However, a police officer on Wednesday told TNN that Asim has been traced in Mumbai and is safe and sound with his family members now.
Police also confirmed that the youth was traced in Mumbai on its official Twitter handle. “This is with reference to various media reports regarding the missing of Asim Dar a resident of Lachipora #Handwara and a student of G L Bajaj Institute, Greater NOIDA, the boy has been traced in Mumbai and as reported is safe and sound with his family members,” police said.
