NS Jamwal To Replace Ram Awtar As New IG BSF (Jammu Frontier)

Jammu, Dec 12: Mr N S Jamwal will replace Ram Awtar as new IG BSF (Jammu Frontier) by December end, sources said.

Mr Jamwal is a highly decorated 1984 batch direct entry officer, who is a recipient President Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPMDS) and Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PMMS).

He was the research fellow with Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses and served various important assignments, both at command and staff level.

He was part of anti-militancy operations in Jammu and Kashmir valley and Punjab.
