President Kovind visits Gorakhnath temple

Gorakhpur, Dec 10 : President Ramnath Kovind on Monday visited the Gorakhnath temple here and worshipped there for about 30 minutes, on his two-day visit to Gorakhpur.

In the presence of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who is also the Mahant of the Gorakhnath Peth and Governor Ram Naik, Mr Kovind also paid floral tributes at the samadhi of Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avaidhnath.

Later the President attended the function of the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad function to honour the talented students. The council is run by the Gorakshpeth.

Mr Kovind is the third President to visit Gorakshpeth, and first in the last five decades.
