DDC reviews progress of power sector schemes in Kupwara

KUPWARA, DECEMBER 06: DDC Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today reviewed the progress of Power sector schemes viz DeenDayal Gram Jyoti Yojana, IPDS, PMDP, (Rural/Urban) and Saubhagya with officers of PDD, Project Wing and RECPDCL in the district.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, ACD Kupwara, Exens of R&B, PHE and Executive Officers of MC Kupwara and Handwara.
The meeting fixed the timeline for execution of project-wise works. It was resolved that works under DDUGY will commence by first week of January and RAPDRP works in towns shall start in next ten days. It was given out that land has been identified at Galizoo for new Receiving Station.
The DDC Kupwara urged officers to work with more zeal and complete the projects within the fixed timeline.
The DDC said that the execution of these projects within stipulated time frame, maximum 18 months, will benefit the district to a great extent and help realize the demands of the people for sustained power supply.
