DySP, 6 policemen injured in road accident near LoC in Kupwara
Srinagar, Nov 16: Seven policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), were injured in a road accident near the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara.
“A security force vehicle turned turtle near the LoC at around 1845 hrs on Thursday, resulting in injuries to seven policemen, including DySP Bodh Raj,” a police official told TNN.
He said the injured were immediately taken to Public Health Centre (PHC) Keran from where the DySP was referred to SHMS hospital in Srinagar.
“The police party was deputed for Panchayat election duty scheduled to begin Saturday,” he added.
