SFs launch CASO in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 16: Security forces on Friday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Shopian in south Kashmir district, official sources said.

Troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at village Heft in Shopian following a tip off about the presence of militants.

All the exit points were sealed and a house-to-house search operation was launched, the sources said, adding that the operation was going on when the reports last came in. So far, no one was arrested and no contact was established with the militants.
