Rajouri police detains notorious bovine smuggler under PSA.

Rajouri police here has booked and detained a notorious bovine smuggler under Public Safety Act (PSA) for his repeated involvement in cases of bovine smuggling in the district.During a recent exercise, it came to fore that one Khadam Hussain son of Noor Hussain resident of Behrote village of Thanamandi tehsil of Rajouri district is involved in multiple cases of bovine smuggling in Rajouri as well as Poonch district.

Accordingly, a dossier was prepared by District Police and the same was forwarded by SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas to District Magistrate Rajouri who formally issued the order of detention of the said accused under PSA.A police team headed by SDPO Thanamandi Iftikar Ahmed Chowdhary implemented the order and detained the accused who has been lodged in central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu.

The said accused detained under PSA stands booked in number of cases including FIR 164/2017 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act of Surankote police station, 71/2018 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act of Surankote police station and FIR 110/2017 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act of Police Station Thanamandi.Detention of said accused under PSA was need of hour as he was becoming a threat to peaceful atmosphere in the district especially with panchayat elections a few days ahead.
Rajouri police reiterates it's commitment to take stringent action against those involved in unlawful activities and also seek cooperation of masses of the district in this regard.
