The road to border town of Karnah was so far through despite snowfall on Wednesday, official sources said.

They said dozens of far-flung and remote villages near the LoC, including border town of Keran and Machil, remained cut-off for the second day today from their respective district headquarters due to fresh snowfall and slippery road conditions in the frontier district of Kupwara in north Kashmir.

“The road between Kupwara to border town of Keran was closed due to fresh snowfall during the past 24 hours,” a Police Control Room (PCR) official told TNN over the phone from Kupwara. He said the road has become slippery, adding that no traffic movement was allowed to avoid any accident.
