Militants involved in Parihar brothers’ killing to be neutralised soon: Madhav

JAMMU: At a time when Jammu & Kashmir Police is almost solved the double murder of Parihar brothers at Kishtwar on November 01, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav today said that militants involved in the killing would be neutralise soon.

Madhav, who was visiting Parihar’s family at Kishtwar today told media persons that the priority is to track down the perpetrators and neutralize them.

BJP state secretary Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar were shot dead by militants in a dark, narrow lane leading to their house in Parihar Mohalla from Tappal Bazar. The brothers were fired upon from point blank range.

“Right now, our main challenge is to track down the militants (behind the killings) and neutralise them. That will be done very soon,” Madhav told reporters in Kishtwar.

“That (neutralising terrorists) is the important thing here. Of course, we will not allow these kinds of activities to create instability and violence in Kishtwar or Doda, the peaceful areas of Jammu region. That is our priority and we are focusing on that,” he added.

The BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav, accompanied by Union Health Minister J P Nadda and MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh and state BJP president Ravinder Raina visited Kishtwar to pay homage to Parihar and his brother.

On November 5, Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik had said those involved in the killings had been identified and will be brought to book soon.

“It has been proved that it was an incident of militancy,” he had said, adding that it “was an act of frustration on the part of militants and Pakistan”.

The Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the killings.

The SIT has been directed to expedite the investigation and submit its report as early as possible. It has detained some persons in connection with the killings.

Earlier, the top central BJP leaders including Ram Madhav, Union Minister Jagat Parkash Nadda, Union MoS in PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh and J&K BJP State President Ravinder Raina, MLA, along with other senior leaders from J&K BJP visited the house of Parihar brothers to pay their condolences to the bereaved family.

BJP leaders visited the house of Parihar brothers to meet the family members of bereaved families. They termed the loss of Parihar brothers as the loss to entire BJP family and the region. They assured the family members of Parihar brothers that the entire BJP and the Nation stands with them in the hour of distress as we are a part of great family. They said that this tragic incident asks us to rebuilt our resolve to fight with the terrorists and their sympathizers with more strength and work on the mission of Anil ji to pay true tributes to him.

BJP leaders handed over cheques of Rs. 5-5 lakh each to both families. The government will also provide relief of Rs. 5-5 lakh each to both bereaved families. The leaders said that although the money can never substitute a live member of the family, neither through financial matters nor on emotional support grounds but still every family has needs in the society to cater for day to day needs. The families were also handed over two job orders to the families of Parihar brothers.

The leaders termed the two brothers as the beacon setters who carried out the social service from the core of their hearts, throughout their lives. They said as that terrorists are feeling restless due to the effective operations of Indian security forces, they carried out such heinous act. But ill intentions of terrorists will never succeed and no mercy will be shown to terrorists and their sympathizers.

Afterwards, the leaders, paid condolences to the great sons of soil, the Parihar brothers in a Shradhanjali Sabha conducted to remember their sacrifice for “Bharat Mata”.
