Tral shuts against killing of JeM militant
Srinagar, Nov 10: A complete shutdown was observed on Saturday in Tral town and adjoining areas in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, where a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant was killed by security forces in an encounter.
Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the road in Tral and adjacent areas though there was no strike call by any organisation. However, some private vehicles could be seen plying on some routes. Work in government offices and educational institutions was affected due to strike.
Additional security forces and state police personnel have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident. Mobile internet service remained suspended in the town since yesterday.
JeM militant, resident of Pakistan, was killed by security force in an encounter yesterday, during which a Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police constable was also injured.
