29147 complaints forwarded to concerned quarters for redressal: J&K Governor's grievance cell

Jammu: As many as 29147 grievances were forwarded to the concerned quarters for early redressal, said the Jammu and Kashmir Governor’s grievance cell in a statement issued here on Friday.

Official spokesperson said that since the imposition of Governor’s Rule, during June 20 to November 9, the Grievance Cell (including Governor’s Secretariat) received 29999 complaints of which 29147 have been dealt with or forwarded to the concerned quarters for timely redressal while as 476 complaints are under process.

He said that similarly, on the directions of Governor, all the three Advisors to the Governor have been regularly meeting and hearing the grievances of delegations/deputations and individuals.

The Advisors to Governor have attended 2007 delegations and 1902 individuals from July 17 till date.

All the grievances received by the Advisors have been dealt with/forwarded to the concerned Field Officers/Departments for their immediate redressal/disposal, he added.

Besides, on the directions of the Governor, the Advisors are regularly reviewing the disposal of the grievances pertaining to their respective departments.

In total, during this period, 33908 grievances were received, 33056 have been dealt with/forwarded to the concerned quarters for timely redressal and 476 grievances are under process as on November 9.
