DDC Baramulla reviews arrangements for PMJAY implementation

BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 09: District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today chaired a meeting here to finalize the arrangements for implementation of Ayushmaan Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), in the district.
ADC Farooq Ahmad Baba, Programme Officer ICDS, CMO, DY CMO, EOs, BMOs, BDOs and various other concerned attended the meeting.
The scheme which is being implemented on December 01 in the district, is aimed at providing health protection cover to poor and vulnerable families to reduce their out-of-pocket expenditure on healthcare. The scheme will provide cashless and paperless access to services for the beneficiaries at the point of service in any empaneled hospitals (both in public and private sector) across the country.
The insurance coverage under AB-PMJAY will be Rs 5 lakh per family per annum with no cap on the family size. Every family under the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) database will be entitled to claim the benefits under the scheme
Threadbare discussion was held with regard to the implementation of the scheme wherein DDC stressed to work with added zeal and enthusiasm for its effective implementation. He emphasized to work in coordination and cooperation so that the benefits of the scheme are yielded by the beneficiary.
Moreover, DDC stressed on training, capacity building, team-building and time-bound progress monitoring by concerned nodal officers. He also laid emphasis on the involvement of schools and Anganwari centres in the mission to ensure percolation of benefits to all eligible families in the district.
