GST revenue in October crosses Rs 1 lakh cr
New Delhi, Nov 1: Goods and Service Tax revenue in October this year has crossed the Rs 1 lakh crore mark, the Government said on Thursday.
The October revenue is 6.64 per cent higher than the September 2018 revenue which was Rs 94,442 crore, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said here.
Mr jaitley tweeted: "GST collections for October 2018 have crossed Rs 1 lakh crore. The success of GST is lower rates, lesser evasion, higher compliance, only one tax and negligible interference by taxation authorities."
