YAIKS delegation meets Governor

Srinagar, October 25: A delegation of the Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) led by Sh. R.K. Bhat, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.

The delegation apprised Governor about their various problems and demanded that Prime Minister’s Return, Relief and Rehabilitation Package for Kashmiri Pandit’s be re structured in consultation with representatives of YAIKS; another 3000 jobs be sanctioned in favour of left over candidates who had applied under various notifications and those migrant families who could not be benefitted under PM’s rehabilitation scheme; compensate KPs against quota of retired 25,000 KP employees; 3-5 % reservation for displaced KP youth in Central Government Jobs and Educational institutes; one time compensation in favour of over aged youth of the community, separate accommodation for the entire Valley posted Migrant employees having Kendriya Vidyalayas and State Run Govt. Schools with in the residential complex manned by the migrant teachers; grant of minority and Internally Displaced Persons status to KP community; political reservation for Kashmiri Pandits in State Assembly and Parliament of India; separate district in exile for Kashmiri Pandits be created till their return to the Valley.

Governor assured the delegation due examination of their various demands.
