Rajnath performs 'Shastra Pooja' at BSF SHQ in Bikaner

Bikaner, Oct 19 : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday performed 'Shastra Puja' on the occasion of Vijaya Dashmi at the Border Security Force's sector headquarters here.

On the occasion, he appealed to all to maintain and spread peace and harmony on the occasion.

Speaking about Kashmir, he said, "peace be maintained in Kashmir. The government has allocated maximum funds for development of Kashmir."

Hitting out at Pakistan, he said that all militants active in the region are from Pakistan.

Mr Singh, taking to twitter this morning, also wished everyone in the country on the occasion of Dussehra and Durga Puja.

''Greetings to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashmi and Durga Puja,'' the Home Minister tweeted.

The Home Minister also visited the family of a BSF constable Bhanwar Singh, currently posted in Jammu and Kashmir. "Glad to know his children doing well in studies," said Mr Singh.

He also met and interacted families of the BSF personnel at Bikaner Sector Headquarters in Rajasthan and expressed that it was great to interact with families of the security forces. ''Families of the forces are their support system. Their families give them courage and strength to serve the nation,'' Mr SIngh said.
