Dengue: 9 more tested positive, total 71 in 2018

JAMMU: Nine more cases of Dengue have been reported in the State, taking the total number of patients affected with the disease so far this year to 71. The maximum cases of Dengue have been reported from mid September to end of the October month.

“Nine more patients have been tested positive taking the total to 71,” a Health official said.
He said that this year, 818 patients were tested for Dengue till today.

The latest data came three days after Deputy Director (headquarter), health services, Jammu, Chander Prakash informed that there were 62 patients of Dengue.

“Nine of them have got the vector-borne disease from outside the state,” he had said on October 14.
Jammu had accounted for the highest 33 cases followed by Kathua district (15) and Samba (seven) while one each cases were reported from Kishtwar, Udhampur, Rajouri, Reasi, Poonch, Doda and Kashmir, he had informed.
