Forest quarter damaged in fire incident in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Sep 21: A quarter of forest department suffered a major damage in a devastating fire incident in south Kashmir's Shopian district, official source said here.
The blaze broke out in the forest department quarter at Vehil Kachdoora, Shopia last evening. Fire tenders from different parts were rushed to the area to control the leaping flames in the quarter, which was under renovation.
The fire was brought under control by the fire and emergency officials with the help of locals, the sources said, adding that the cause of fire was not immediately known.
The quarter suffered damaged, they said, adding that no one was injured.
