Fire damages mosque in Baramulla
Baramulla, Sep 21: A mosque was damaged in a fire incident in this north Kashmir district early Friday morning, official sources said.
The blaze broke out in Masjid Rehmat at Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla. However, before the fire tenders could reach the spot and douse the flames, blaze spread to entire second storey of the worship places.
It took several hours for fire tenders, rushed from different parts of the town, to control the blaze and stop from spreading to nearby locality.
The second storey of the mosque was completely damaged while the first floor suffered minor damage, the sources said, adding that the cause of fire was being ascertained.
