Anantnag police arrests drug peddler
Srinagar, September 20: Continuing the drive “war against drugs”, Anantnag police arrested a drug peddler during naka checking and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Bijbehara headed by SHO Bijbehara apprehended a suspected person, identified as Mohammad Hussain Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Tulkhan, during naka checking at Tulkhan area of Bijbehara.
On checking, 14 strips of Spasmoproxyvan, 38 bottles of codeine phosphate and 430 grams of charas were recovered from his possession.
A case FIR number 160/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Bijbehara and investigation has been taken up.
