DC Reasi reviews preparedness for ULB polls

REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Prasanna Ramaswamy G today reviewed preparedness for Urban Local Body polls here at a meeting attended by the officers entrusted with the election duties.
The DC briefed Returning Officers (RO)s and Assistant Returning Officers (ARO)s regarding their responsibilities. He instructed them to religiously go through the election Hand Book to get thorough idea of the poll process.
“Stay immune to external influences and notorious elements bent on derailing the smooth conduct of elections” the DC Prasanna asserted and answered queries of the ROs and AROs regarding certain procedures.
The elections to two Municipal Committees—MC Reasi and MC Katra of district Reasi will be conducted in phase-II of the Municipal Elections 2018. The voting will be held on October 10 while the counting of votes will be done on October 20.
