DC Anantnag takes stock of Muharram arrangements

ANANTNAG: The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik today visited the Shia populated areas of the district to take stock of the arrangements being put in place for the Muharram processions.
He directed the concerned officers to make all necessary arrangements with regard to drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, availability of essential commodities for Shia populated areas.
The Deputy Commissioner also visited under construction Imam Bara at Chittergul and directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the construction work. He also visited Dati Nag Water Supply Scheme and Sub District Hospital Shangus and enquired about the facilities being provided to the patients there.
Various deputations met the Deputy Commissioner at Chittergul and Shangus who apprised him about their various problems and demands. The DC gave a patient hearing to the deputations and assured quick redressal of their genuine issues.
Deputy CMO, BDO Shangus, AD FCS&CA, AEEs of R&B and PHE departments accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
