Sensex advances by 72 pts
Mumbai, Sep 7: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday rallied by 72 points to open at 38,314.55 following renewed buying in metals, realty, FMCG, healthcare and industrial stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 22 points to 11,558.25.
The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 38,331.19 and 38,067.22 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,566.45 and 11,484.40 respectively.
The gainers were Bajaj Auto by 3.26 pc to Rs 2873.90, Tata Motors by 2.35 pc to Rs 276.30, Tata Motors DVR by 2.32 pc to Rs 147.75 and Hero MotoCorp by 2.26 pc to Rs 3232.45.
The losers were Sun Pharma by 3.72 pc to Rs 651.50, Yes Bank by 2.70 pc to Rs 329.85, Powergrid by 1.63 pc to Rs 195.95 and SBI by 1.23 pc to Rs 293.
