SRINAGAR: Putting all speculations to rest, the BJP has said that it did not have the numbers for government formation.
In a statement issued late this evening, the BJP general secretary, Ashok Koul said, “the BJP has neither the required numbers for forming any government in Jammu and Kashmir nor is it trying to seek the support of required number of MLAs for forming any government in the state in short near future.”
Ruling out the possibility of any government formation in Jammu and Kashmir immediately after Yatra, Koul said “nothing is in offing as for as the formation of a new government in Jammu and Kashmir is concerned.”
With this the BJP has put to rest speculations about the formation of a new combination with or without PDP for forming a new government in the state.
