Div Com initiates action against officials for technical fault at I-Day parade

Srinagar, Aug 15: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan on Wednesday initiated action against officials of cultural academy for technical fault in the audio system at Independence Day parade at S K Stadium here.

The audio system broke down and failed to respond during the cultural performance of CRPF and BSF’s Bangra dancers at the stadium presided over by Governor N N Vohra.

It led to a major embarrassment prompting Mr Khan to order action against the officials of Cultural Academy.

The Div Com said that he is looking into the matter as what led to the technical glitch.

“Let me see to the series of events then appropriate action will be taken,” he said.
