JNU Student leader Umar Khalid shot at by unidentified person, escapes unhurt

New Delhi, Aug 13: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student Umar Khalid was shot at by an unidentified person outside the Constitution Club in central Delhi area on Monday afternoon, police sources said .

However, the student leader escaped unhurt in the attack, the sources said.

'The JNU student was shot at by an unidentified man outside the Constitution Club,' the sources said.

The student leader had came to attend an event "Khauff Se Azaadi" at the Constitution Club.

According to police sources, the attacker escaped after firing the bullet.

Police is probing the matter, the sources added.
