Shiv Sena up in arms against Rohingyas, Hurriyat in J&K, slams Sri Sri Ravi Shanker for Amarnath remarks

Jammu, Jul 13: Shiv Sena (Bal Thackrey) national coordinator Gulab Chand Dubey on Friday slammed Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his recent Amarnath yatra remarks and warned against illegal settlement of Rohingyas in Jammu and Hurriyat Conference for his anti-national ideology.

"Sri Sri Ravi Shanker is a saint and he should focus on his teachings than issuing controversial statements," Mr Dubey told reporters here this afternoon.

Sri Sri had recently asked people not to perform Amarnath yatra till 2019 in view of recent tragedies.

Sri Sri is also a member of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.

"We do not welcome his suggestion and there seems to be some conspiracy behind," said the Shiv Sena leader.

He however, also lashed out at Hurriyat Conference for its anti-national ideology and said, "if the Centre will not take action against these forces, Shiv Sena will launch agitation against them."

Mr Dubey also demanded deportation of Rohingyas from Jammu otherwise Shiv Sena activists will take the lead and throw them out.

Blaming BJP for not meeting aspirations of people of Jammu, the Shiv Sena leader said, "instead of politicising issues, BJP must focus on welfare and betterment of people and concerning issues."

Mr Dubey also criticised Shashi Tharoor for his "Hindu-Pakistan" remarks and said, "such people are trying to divide people by issuing such statements but it will not have any impact on the society."

He said that Shiv Sena will field candidates in Parliamentary Polls and Assembly elections in J&K to strengthen its roots.
