Man dead as heavy stone falls inside mine

Koderma, Jun 22: A man lost his life while another sustained injuries when a big stone fell upon them while they were working inside a stone mine located under Nawashahi Police Station area of this district today.
The deceased has been identified as Pawan Das (24) while the injured included Anil Kumar Das (28) who has been admitted at a private hospital for treatment.
Police said the duo were working inside a stone mine located in Jamdiha when suddenly a piece of heavy stone fell upon Pawan from a height of 40 feet on Pawan due to which he died on the spot while Anil also sustained serious injuries in the incident.
Later the police sent the body for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.
