Mehbooba factor forced BJP to pullout of J&K Govt: Former minister
Jammu, Jun 22: Former minister and BJP MLA Choudhary Lal Singh on Friday said that former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Hurriyat and Pakistan were the main factors that forced BJP to pullout of the coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I feel that Mehbooba Mufti, Hurriyat and Pakistan were three major factors that forced the high command to take a final call on breaking alliance with the PDP,” Mr Singh told reporters here at a press conference.
Despite all cooperation and help from the Centre, Ms Mufti failed in developing all the three regions of the state and secondly, she always advocated for dialogue with all the stakeholders in the Kashmir valley including Hurriyat; and thirdly, her demand of talks with Pakistan, he added.
"It was not acceptable to the BJP following which, the party decided to pullout from the government," he pointed out.
