Srinagar, June 22: A war of words continued on twitter between vice-president of the National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) national General secretary and in charge Jammu and Kashmir Ram Madhav on the latest political situation in the state.

Mr Abdullah called resignation of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti after the BJP pulled out from the alliance and reducing the coalition government to minority as a “Drama” scripted and enacted by both the parties together. While he further alleged that keeping the Assembly under suspended animation to allow horse trading by BJP, Mr Ram Madhav reacted strongly.

Former chief minister Omar Abdullah reiterating dissolution of the Assembly, which still have about three years, followed by fresh election to avoid any horse trading by BJP which is power at the centre. However, the BJP rejected the allegations but a number of its leaders hinted that the government could be formed when the situation improves in the state, particularly in the valley, where militant activities has witnessed a surge after the Centre announced 'Ramzan ceasefire' on the request of Mehbooba Mufti, who was in favour of extending it further.

Mr Abdullah, questioning former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta for his statement on formation of new government in the state that something is going on, said what it means that BJP is working on something.

The NC in a tweet asked, “What do you mean “we are working on something”? The only “something” would be to break other parties & make up the numbers to form a BJP Govt. Has the former DCM inadvertently spilled the beans?”

Mr Gupta was quoted as saying “I don't think a new govt will be formed anytime soon. Uncertainties are there, but we are working on something & people will get to know about it: Kavinder Gupta, Former Deputy CM of #JammuAndKashmir”.

Mr Abdullah further said, “The J&K state Assembly should be dissolved immediately & fresh elections should take place as soon as appropriate. The former DCM has admitted that BJP can’t be trusted not to horsetrade for Govt formation”.

He further tweeted that “The PDP & BJP have been watching Bollywood movies for political strategy. This is how they have crafted their “divorce”. Brilliant fixed match, scripted to perfection except the audience aren’t fools & neither are the rest of us”.
Mr Ram Madhav joining the issue with Omar in a tweet asked “Why is he (Omar Abdullah) so scared? I'm sure his party men are loyal to him. There is no question of horse-trading from our side. We've seen what kind of horse-trading happened in J&K under his party, no body should forget the history: Ram Madhav on allegations of horse trading”.

Mr Abdullah in a reply through a tweet said, “I have no doubt about my MLAs but we all know what happened in the PDP after Mufti Sb died & the sort of pressure that was applied to Mehbooba Mufti”.

He further tweeted “Then why not dissolve the assembly? If @rammadhavbjp is true to his word that there is no question of horse trading & clearly no new alliances are being formed then the Assembly should be dissolved. Keeping it suspended has encouraged dalals”.
