Hundreds of children, SF personnel, NCC cadets practice Yoga in Kashmir, Ladakh
Srinagar, Jun 21: Hundreds of children, NCC cadets and security force personnel, including from Army, J&K Police and CRPF, took part in events held at various places in Kashmir valley and Ladakh region on the 4th International Yoga Day.
Scores of children, particularly Yoga students, participated in the International Yoga Day celebration held at S K Indoor Stadium in Srinagar. Governor N N Vohra was the chief guest of the event which was organized by Indian Systems of Medicine & Homeopathy (AYUSH).
Meanwhile, hundreds of J&K Police personnel and NCC cadets took part in the Yoga Day celebration at S K Cricket Stadium in Srinagar.
International Yoga Day was also celebrated by CRPF personnel at CRPF Recruit Training Centre at Humhama, where hundreds of jawans performed asanas and kriyas.
Despite sub-zero temperature, Army jawans celebrated the 4th International Yoga Day at Siachen glacier, the world’s highest battlefield and second coldest place on the earth after Siberia.
Similar celebrations were also held in the Ladakh region.
