Rajouri police along with Army jointly conducts "Curfew drill" at Rajouri.

Jammu, June 21: For better coordination among different agencies and to prepare security apparatus for dealing with law and order problems besides giving final shape to a strategy meant for swift response towards any incident, authorities today conducted curfew drill in Rajouri town.

Drill was conducted jointly by District Police, Army and other security agencies in the early hours of the morning across length and breadth of the town with Duty Magistrate in all the sectors.All the entry and exit routes were plugged besides deployment of manpower on internal routes and QRTs at strategic locations.

Officers also visited sites of deployment and briefed manpower about the plan needed to follow during any law and order problem along with adhering to SOP for better response towards any situation. Some loopholes and shortcomings observed were taken note of for rectification and modification. Police officers led by Addl SP Rajouri Mohd Yousaf, DSP, Ops, Sukhdev Singh and DSP Hqrs Govind Rattan along with army officers were seen moving from point to point for better familiarisation and joint briefing of the personnel deployed in the town.

District Magistrate Dr.Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, and SSP Yougal Manhas along with local Station Commander personally supervised all the deployment in order to ensure better synergy and coordination between all stakeholders.
