‘We The Women’ is here for you with another treat. In this week’s edition, we are bringing for you about the journeys of another baker and entrepreneur on rise in the town. Diksha ventured into the field only a year ago and is thriving swiftly because of her delicacies. She is chasing her heart and pursuing her passion as well as flourishing doing the same. Read on to know more.

If you would ask Diksha to tell you about herself, she would respond something on this note- “I am a Home-Baker and owner of ‘Candy Crush Cakes by Diksha Gupta. l am an MBA in Finance and I started this venture a year back.”

According to Diksha, she was destined to be who she is today. She expresses, “It seems like fate had a major role to play for me to start this enterprise; I never planned it.”

She adds further, “I love baking, used to bake cakes for my friends and family and so it came automatically to me. It clicked on one such occasion while baking that I decided to go forth with it as a profession. Baking for my loved one is from where the inspiration to start ‘Candy Crush Cakes’ channeled.”

But it did not start after Diksha finished her degree in MBA; it happened even before that. Diksha shares, “I started taking orders while I was studying at the university. I used to have classes till evening and prepare the orders at night.”

Speaking of her journey in her venture, Diksha states, “My journey after starting Candy Crush Cakes has been wonderful; I just love what I do. Also, my family is very supportive of my work. It would not have been possible without them; they always encourage me to do better and work hard.”

On being inquired if she has ever baked exclusively for herself, Diksha responses, “Yes sometimes I bake just for myself; I love tea cakes so I bake some whenever I crave it.”

Speaking to ‘We The Women’ about key to her growing business, Diksha shares her vision, “Right from the start I have always tried to introduce something new; it has been a year but I want to keep it fresh even after years. I strive to keep inducing awe with my creations.”

She adds, “I recently made a chandelier cake for someone’s 25th anniversary. Everyone was thrilled to see it. That’s what I aim for.”

Diksha now aspires to come up with cake options for the health conscious people as well. She also delivers workshops for those who wish to get acquainted with a couple of amazing cakes and dessert recipes. And to top it all, you can take all your creation back with you. How wonderful!

For Diksha, her biggest accomplishment is the sweet surprise on the faces of her clients when they see the cake they ordered. She expresses, “The smile and contentment on seeing the cake gives me a huge sense of success, which I further advance to my personal life as imparting happiness and bringing smiles is the best thing to do. Isn’t it?”

She elaborates, “The appreciation and wishes I get from them enthralls and thrills me beyond words. Some of my clients have even told me that they do not feel like cutting the cake because it’s too beautiful and that has only inspired me to work even harder and keep moving forward.”

Diksha perfectly sums up her ideology. She says, “I personally wholly solely rely on hard-work. I believe in being a human-being who is full of gratitude for whatever life offers to me and believes in striking the right chord of balance between both personal and professional life.”

To the aspirants, Diksha’s words are, “The field of baking is both science and art and to anyone who is interested to start something in this field, I will suggest them to be clear with the basics and add your creativity to it; you will definitely succeed.”

About the women out there, Diksha says, “I believe that we all are talented in our own beautiful way. Skill in art is something that is within; everyone has their own unique thing that they are best at. You just need to acknowledge your skill and value it; you can make the best of it with determination and persistence.”
Further speaking about the increase in the number of female entrepreneurs, Diksha expresses, “ The increasing number of women entrepreneurs is a great for our state as it inspires other women to follow their dreams and passions too. Today when I see all these successful women of our state, I feel more motivated to do things and strive for excellence in my work.”

For the women out there, Diksha’s words are simple yet strong, “Follow your heart and face the challenges with a smile and you will reach places and shine bright.”
