High End equipments inaugurated at SKIMS

Srinagar, JUNE 4: Director SKIMS Dr. Omar Javed Shah Monday inaugurated various high end equipments in the Department of CVTS, SKIMS, Soura, a statement said.

According to the statement the ‘State of the Art’ equipments include ,3 High End, Intraaortic Baloon Pumps(Cardio Save/CS300), Maquet-Datascope, Germany) and 1 Portable , latest version and high end Portable Echocardiogram (EPIC -7C, Philips, USA) costing RS.2.50 Crores.

The inaugural function was followed by live demonstration in operation theatre during open cardiac surgery.

Advanced functions of the equipment demonstrated by the Company experts, Philips USA were highly appreciated.

Director SKIMS, Soura stressed foroptimal use of these equipments. He further said that with incorporation of these equipments hundreds of patients who were referred outside for want of the therapeutic application of such equipments will now get benefited and safely operated. He also informed that in future many other “High End” equipments will be installed in the department which will help in successful of Complex Cardiac Surgical procedures.
