Jammu: GD Goenka Public School, governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust staged a street play on Multi Sensitization for teenagers by Red Arts Punjab. Brilliantly scripted and fabulously presented street play transported the audience to a college campus, depicting show off, craze, swag, dictating popularity, becoming immune to drugs amongst the budding students seeking admission in colleges and universities in a very comical way.

Fulfill your dreams and not fall prey to the menace of Drug mafia was the theme, one of the burning issues of society today. They very neatly put forward the plight of children coming fresh from the four walls of their houses where values are counted supreme to being forced or instigated into the world of narcotics may it be boozing, smoking, drugs, synthetic drugs by their seniors, goons, middlemen, peers etc. This all starts as a craze unknowingly and the first hand sensational experience leads to addiction and finally to all anti social activities.

The best thing was that the audience was found bursting into peals of laughter and understood the crux of the play ‘not to fall trap to these circumstances come what may…’

The denouement of the street play made the audience completely baffled with its subtle shifting from laughter to reverie. It reached the culmination point on a didactic note. It was appreciated by one and all with a thunderous applause. The School principal lauded the efforts of Red Arts Punjab troupe and asked the children to rise and become aware of the potential they have been blessed with and say a big No to all such lures coming their way.
