Register FIR against person using abusive language against CM, spreading rumours: Omar
Srinagar May 21: National Conference working president Omar Abdullah on Monday demanded the registration of FIR against a person for using abusive language against Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
He also demanded legal action against a person for spreading rumours on social media site Twitter that five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed in a militant attack at Pampore in Kashmir on Monday during the holy month of Ramadhan ceasefire.
Taking to twitter, the former Chief Minister said, “This is absolutely unacceptable language used against @MehboobaMufti & is unequivocally condemned with the request that @JmuKmrPolice file a FIR against this abusive individual”.
He was reacting to a video being circulated on social media in which a person is seen using abusive language against Ms Mufti before some people carrying national flag.
In another tweet, Mr Abdullah said, “Given that NO ONE else has this “news” I think it’s safe to assume this is fake news spread with a malicious intent, the subtext being Muslim terrorists have killed Hindu CRPF jawans. These sorts of blatant lies must face legal action."
He was reacting to a tweet by one Sushil Pandit which reads that five CRPF jawans martyred in Pampore in Ramzan. Is Ramzan working. Question is who is working, the tweet of Pandit said.
