Jammu, May 20 : In the backdrop of Director General BSF K K Sharma suspecting that a group of terrorists might have sneaked into the Indian Territory via tunnel, a senior BSF official of Jammu Frontier on Sunday said that no tunnel has been found so far in anti-tunneling operation.

"No tunnel was found. We were working on probability. Otherwise, tunnel checking is now part of BSF daily operational duty," said a senior BSF official.

"Though the initial impression we got was that some infiltrators might have crossed, we went by the past cases and reports. However, on verification and ground search and analysis up to now, we feel that those five people may be villagers or locals or at the most, internal smugglers,'' he added.

"Still, nothing is ruled out. We are working on this along with other agencies too, but nothing substantial has come out so far," said the officer.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Rangers on Sunday also called for ceasing counter-terrorism operations on borders.

On May 18, a BSF jawan was martyred, while four civilians were killed and 10 sustained injuries in cross-border firing.
