New Delhi-Katra Shakti Express halts, passengers protest

Katra, May 20: New Delhi-bound Shakti Express halted for two hours at departure station Katra on Saturday night due to some technical glitches in the air conditioning system.

The train no. 22462 was scheduled to depart from Katra railway station at 2300 hrs but could not run on time due to non-functioning of air conditioner in six coaches of the train, railway officials at Katra station said.

Children felt suffocated as the air conditioner was not working. The passengers held a protest at the railway station as no one was taking the responsibility, sources said.
