Karnataka Assembly Session begins

Bengaluru, May 19: The 15th Karnataka Assembly began its Session with Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa taking the oath as member of the House.
He was elected in the May 15 election from Shikaripur in Shivamogga District.
Former Chief Minister and Congress Legislative Parry leader Siddaramaiah was the second elected MLA to take oath.
Mr Siddaramaiah, who contested from Chamundeshwari in Mysuru District and Badami in Bagalkote, succeeded in winning the Badami seat defeating BJP's B Sriramulu.
The Oath taking ceremony continued with batches of five based on their seniority to avoid time consuming as there are 221 newly elected members.
