12-yr-old dies, brother injured after being hit by dumper

New Delhi, May 18: A 12-year-old girl lost her life on the spot while her brother was injured after the two were hit by a dumper in the Sarita Vihar area here on Friday morning.

The incident took place around 0645 hrs near Shaheen Bagh road when the dumper, which was trying to overtake a bus, hit the children who were on their way to school.

The children were residents of Shram Vihar slum.

Driver of the dumper has been detained by the police and further investigation was underway.
