Surprise market checking conducted in Gandoh

Kashmir, May 17: In view of upcoming festival season,market checking was conducted at Gandoh by a team of administration, led by Tehsildar Gandoh Lekh Raj, to keep a check on prices and quality of essential commodities particularly meat and chicken during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr inspected markets of Sub Division Gandoh.

During the checking Rs-5000 have been recovered from different shopkeepers as fine.

Meanwhile,shopkeepers were warned against encroachment.The transporters including sumo drivers were asked to park their vehicles only at parking places. Locals appreciated the act and hoped that the drive would continue in future as well.

TSO Gandoh Suresh Kumar, Police officials and other officials of tehsil level were present during the inspection.
