Samba, May 17: Pakistan again violates the ceasefire violation and targeted the civilian areas in the international border in Samba sector here today.

According to the sources, the firing started Wednesday night when the Pakistan rangers started heavy mortar shelling and targeted the civilian areas of the samba sector. The Pakistani rangers targeted the villages of samba sector including Regal,Kungwala, Mawa, Manguchak, Chalyarian and Chachwal and targeted the civilian areas of Samba sector. Several mortar shells fell down in the fields. Due to the cross border firing three houses is damaged and three cows died in village Kungwala. Due to the firing but this has created a panic in the people of border villages of samba sector.

Villagers said that the during the intervening night the Pakistani rangers started heavy mortar shelling in border villages and targeted the civilian areas of samba sector and Pak rangers continues heavy shelling by mortar but some mortar shell fell down in the fields but no casualty has reported from our side. The troops of the BSF retaliated effectively. The firing exchanges continued till morning.
