Quilt shop gutted in a major fire in Doda

Doda, April 25: A quilt shop was completed gutted in devasting fire that broke out in it near Chief Agriculture Office Nagri circular road Doda this morning.

As per reports, one shop belonging to Sharief Mansoori S/o Ali Mansoor of Bihar who was running quilt business in Doda since many years, caught sudden fire in which all the merchandize got completed gutted.

The shop gutted was mainly of old clothes, cotton and hand made quilts which costs worth more than lakhs of ruppees.

However, locals of the area particularly youth helped in dousing the fire with the help of Fire and Emergency Deptt and Doda Police and was preventing to spread to others shops and residential houses.

The locals of the area have appreciated the timely action of Fire and Emergency Deptt and Doda Police for pressing their men and fire tenders for dousing the fire besides role of local youth was also appreciated.

In this fire incident no loss of life was reported, however son of shop owner got minor injured who was later shifted to DH Doda for treatment.

As per prime fascia of this case, electric short circuit is said to be the cause of fire.
