Srinagar, Apr 25: Normal life came to a grinding halt on Wednesday in some areas in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where four militants, including two foreigners, were killed in an encounter with security forces on Tuesday.

Even though there was no strike call given by any separatist organization, shops and business establishments were closed and traffic was off the roads in Tral and adjoining areas against the killing of the militants. An Army soldier and a policeman were also killed in the encounter in Laam Forest in Tral.

Meanwhile, clashes erupted in Aripora between security forces and protestors, who took to streets and tried to take out a protest rally against the killing of the militants.

However, life was normal in other parts of Pulwama.
