Clerical Staff of Doda District to observe three days strike

Doda, April 23: As a part of state wide strike cum protest, Clerical Staff of all Departments of Doda District under the banner of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh all Departments Clerical Staff Association on Monday observe the complete pen down strike and held a strong protest outside Deputy Commissioner Office Doda.

Addressing the gathering, District President Mohammad Issa informed that the clerical staff of the state have unanimously decided to go for three days strike upto 25th April 2018 in support of their long pending demands.

Mr Issa highlighted various issues of the clerical cadre and demanded implementation of the landmark judgement of the Honble High Court vide SWP No 3058/2015, MP No 01/2015 and contempt petition No 25/16 regarding removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre, implementation of 7th pay commission, enhancement of medical allowance besides conduct of DPC of the cadre which is pending since long.

Vice President of the Association, Yashpal Singh said that Finance Department remain always biased towards clerical cadre showering all fortunes on other cadres, adding that Govt has compelled the clerical cadre to come on streets to get their genuine demands.

Later on, the association members submitted their memorandum of demands to Deputy Commissioner Doda for further submission to higher authorities for its early redressal.

Pertinent to mention here that due to ongoing strike of clerical cadre, the work in most government offices were adversely affected due to which general people are suffering badly.
