Army organises Chess Competition at Cherji region, Kishtwar District

Kishtwar, Apr 21: Continuing the effort of nurturing indoor game talent of youth and to encourage the young minds of the district to participate in constructive activities, Indian Army organised Chess Competition at Cherji region of Kishtwar district. The youth played with immeasurable joy and happiness. A total of 04 x teachers & 82 students participated in the competition.

The children participated with zeal and enthusiasm. The competition provided an opportunity for the youth and Indian Army to connect and share light-hearted banter in a relaxed, friendly and informal atmosphere. They expressed their sincere gratitude for giving them an opportunity to express their talent.

The competition ended with prize distribution for the winners, with consolation prizes among all participants. First prize was bagged by Master Ankush Shan, Second prize was bagged by Miss Simran and Third prize was bagged by Master Avinash Shan. The children were overjoyed to participate in such a creative event.
