Engineering student among others 6 arrested for IPL betting

Jalpaiguri, Apr 18: An engineering student was among six others arrested from a hideout in Jalpaiguri district for betting of cricket during play between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, police said today.
Jalpaiguri Kotwali police, following a specific input, raided a hideout and arrested all the six people while they were engaged in betting last night. Their betting subject was the IPL match between MI and RCB play held in Mumbai.
Police seized a laptop and other documents and cash from them.
All of them would be produced before a local court, police added.
