Army officer injured in accidental fire in Kupwara

Srinagar, Apr 16: An Army officer was injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in Kandi forest in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara on Monday.

Official sources said Captain V K Sahu of 47 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) was part of party, which was patrolling in Kandi forest, when his service rifle went off accidentally on Monday.

“Captain Sahu was injured in the incident,” they said, adding he was immediately taken to Drugmulla military hospital.
