Good Friday observed in Pondy
Puducherry, Mar 30: ”Good Friday”, commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ was observed by the Christians in the Union Territory of Puducherry on Friday.
Early morning mass was held in all churches here to mark the occasion.
A procession was taken out, symbolizing the sufferings of Jesus Christ bearing the cross, from the palace of Pilate to the Golgotha where he was crucified.
Arch Bishop of Puducherry and Cuddalore Dioces Dr.Anthony Anandarayar took part in the procession.
