Two Employees Suspended After Foot-bridge Collapsed Before Inauguration

Doda, March 22 : Two employess of Rural Development Department (RDD) Doda were suspended by Assistant Commissioner Development of Doda District Akther Hussain Qazi after a foot-bridge (Culvert) collapsed at in Kansoo area of Tehsil Khara block of Bhalessa on Wednesday.

ACD Doda Akther Qazi has taken a strict action after the news was publised about collapsed of culvert before inauguration. The Rural Develooment Department started the construction of foot-bridge before few months ago under centrally sponsered scheme MGNREGA. However, once the work of foot-bridge was completed, it collapsed suddenly.

ACD Doda vide order No. ACDD/Estt/2017-18/27589-93 dated 21-03-2017 confirmed the suspension of two officails one Technical Assistant of Block Bhalessa and other MPW of Block Khara. Locals have demanded a vigilance probe and agaisnt the erring JE and GRS for not supervising the works. A committee has also been framed for inquiry.
